While I value my intellectual pursuits in Science, Philosophy, Religion, and Governance, my emotional development and experiences are a series of chapters with girl's names on them.  Always searching for true love and marriage from an early age, I always thought to find the one true love for me and live with her until death do us part - like Edgar Allen Poe's "Annabel lee," we would never be separated.

However real life was nothing like my aspirations, and my sojourn through life led me to many companions and heartbreaks around the world.  In most of these vignettes I don't use a personal name, to protect the innocent as well as the guilty, and because anonymous love is more appealing to a wider audience.  But in a rare case or two, the name itself has meaning, such as in La Gloria, which might connote gloriousness.
